To make this as simple as possible I will try it this way.

If you see -110. That means you would need to bet $110 dollars to win $100. For a total of $210.

Now if you see +240 than you would win that if you bet $100. For a total of $340.

Usually the first number is the money line bet and then the second is bedtting with the spread. You will hear terms like the juice and other crazy ones. When new do not worry about. Do not be intimidated. It is not as complicated as it seems. Go to and they have explinations of how to bet with each sport. Hope I helped a little.

Also Southworth and Masvidal would be your favorites. They have lower negative numbers.
