   Everyone should agree on the amount of maximum bet and the number of times a bet can be raised before the deal. Typically, there are up to three raises allowed after an initial bet. Once either everyone who is staying in has called, or when the maximum number of raises has been reached and called, then the betting is done and hands are revealed.

   The number of betting rounds depends upon the particular poker variation being played. For example, in draw poker there is a betting round after the initial deal and another after the draw. In stud poker, however, there are betting rounds after the first round of face-up cards is dealt, and after each successive round of cards.

   In Las Vegas in a limit game like 2-4 there is a bet and 4 raises in most casinos. So if a player bets out 2 then another player can make it 4 dollars, then 6, then 8, and once it hits ten dollars the cap has been reached and no more bets can take place, unless the action was heads up, then there is no cap on the betting. And on the turn the cap would be 20 dollars, 4, 8, 12, 16,and 20. There are 4 betting rounds in hold em and in stud there are 5. Hope this helps you.
